A quick post today - a 4"  circle card base from my layering dies with linen card from Paper Mill Direct. Spellbinders die for the bottom circle and then 2 more circles cut and re-laid. A few embellishments and flourish  from stash and found these pretty pearl headed pins in my sewing box to add as hat pins.

Mondays card

Made a circle card with lots of layers using the TonicL;ayering circles set which has a very small deckle around the edge. The top layer was made out of rolled out paper clay from Martha Stewart. First stamp embossed with the little rose background stamp from Oak House Studio to create more texture and left to dry and then die cut the circle. You need to stamp the impression first to get the imprint or could stamp with ink or heat EP after it has dried depending on the effect you want. The heart and butterfly were also stamped onto rolled out clay and cut round after they had dried. Colour as desired. Dog rose corner stamp heat embossed and coloured.

Penny Black Flower Stamp and more water droplets

What a beautiful image on this Penny Black Stamp

Similar technique to my previous card, using a beautiful Penny Black image
(from    www.jandccreations.co.uk  -many on a special price too!)
I think the raindrops using Goose Bumps work really well. You just have to be patient when "placing" the droplets to avoid them dispersing.
Thanks for looking today - off to Eileens Workshop today - GREAT!

Memory Box Mask, Sparkle medium - copper, Hero Arts leaf and Tulip ( heat embossed and coloured) Butterfly from Oak House Studio, heat embossed and coloured and a rosette for the Butterfly to sit on. Technique card with my own take on Liquid Glass

Had a lot of fun with my card for Thursday. First embossed background card. I used about 7" square card and then cut into circle with Tonic layering die. Distress inks on background.  Then a quick spritz of mica. Stamped flower - this is a Hero Arts flower and then with a very fine pen outlined some of the areas of the Distressing. For a change used a fine white pen first and then a double line of black - very subtle. To add my take of liquid glass for a water effect I used clear Goose Bumps by taking off the top and tapping off excess from the "tube" and then carefully placed a drop onto the card. Wasn't sure if it would disperse as I placed the liquid - phew it worked. Added a circle for another layer.
Working on another couple of samples to show the effect.
Some elements based on a technique I did with Eileen Godwin

You are welcome to use my ideas but I appreciate a link back if you are trying this out!

Oak House Studio Stamps for todays card

Die cut stamped flowers, embossing powder and textured card

Stamped the dog rose corner stamp with white embossing powder and decoupaged. Inked background through an oval aperture before adding the flowers. Add twisted ribbon for interest and gold glitter to edge the matt and layering

My second  card has a die cut circle and I decoupaged the heart and flowers with ribbon loops. Parchment card with Gerbera and spiral leaf

Playing with parchment......with a Stamp from Designs by Ryn

I cut my parchment with a Spellbinders die first and then I stamped the images onto a piece of card and then on the right side of the parchment outlined the flower and foliage with a white pen. Worked from the wrong side using colouring and parchment tools to create my piece. I made a card from a Tonic Layering die which has a really small "deckle". In the oval set of 14 dies alternate die are plain. I used the next size down from the white to cut the plain oval. Think it all works well together..............

Lavinia Stamp Leaf Trail

I used the leaf trail for my card today:

used a mask for the background and then stamped the leaf trail in green and the flowers in squeezed lemonade from the Distress Ink range. A pearl in the centre of each flower. What a pretty set from Lavinia and I thought quite appropriate for a Spring theme
Spellbinders for mat and layering to finish

Rose Vine from Embossalicious Folders

Rose embossing folder is the main subject of my card today................

This is my new  8" x 8" Embossalicious Folders  - Rose Vine  purchased from jandccreations.co.uk. Embossed first and then lightly brayered over perfect medium or similar. Used clear heat embossing powder. Lightly coloured after heating using worn lipstick Distress Ink. The colour is taken up on the card on the bits that do not have EP powder on them. A beautiful Folder for special occasion cards and you do not always need  a lot else . Simple sentiment and a flower embellishment to finish.
