 is a Thank You card

Hi all - wishing you a Happy New Year!
After a hectic Christmas and then out of action with jelly legs congestion and a hacking cough it seems ages since I managed a Post. Well here it is - a Thank You card - useful for this time of year.
Used a Lifestyle Die for the Base and the top mat, which was a free CB download from a previous challenge.
Used a Memory Box stencil for the background using Oak House Ink Pads.
The stamps were from a Chocolate Baroque Set
Wisteria-lane

Simple faux stitching to finish.
Ink are from a range by Oak House Studio

This really is my last Christmas Card for 2014!!

Stencil and Mirri Snowflakes

I used a stencil  (with  translucent paste and blue glitter from Sweet Poppy Stencils)  from Designs by Ryn for the branch . The snowflakes were cut in silver Mirri card  - I think it is a set from Marianne Dies. Found the sentiment to finish it off. A quick last minute card to make.......

Traditional Christmas Card

I stamped the image onto the card in gold embossing powder and also the foliage area which I cut to decoupage.

Added a moon and the sky detail. The acetate over the top is slightly curved but unfortunately doesn't show up so well.
The image was computer generated.

I used the Posy Stamp from the  Rose Tree set. De-bossed the largest die directly onto the card base and then cut the remaining layers. Edged the cut shapes with a Spectrum Noir Pen. Stamped the flower image with white embossing powder. Used my alcohol pens to colour and then glossy accents over the coloured image.

I embossed only  the frame on a layer and then die cut one shape  to stamp. Stamped Poppy image from the Pretty-Poppies-Unmounted-Rubber-stamp and used a fine gold heat embossing powder . I coloured the edge only of the cut edge and the outside of the square. Used Spectrum Noir Pens and a Wink of Stella pen to colour. Used foam pads to lift the square so that the coloured image sat slightly recessed.

Chocolate Baroque Butterfly Birthday Card

Butterfly Birthday Card

I love Butterflies, though you would never guess!!
I embossed a butterfly folder onto a piece of card 6.75" square and cut a centre square out to make a frame. (This square can be used for another project). Don't add this to your base card just yet. I used a 7" x 7" card base
Lighted inked over the embossing only with Milled Lavender
Chose Butterflies from Chocolate Baroque and stamped some randomly onto the area of the "gap" onto the base card with white embossing powder. Does not matter if parts will be hidden by the frame.
I painted the stamped Butterflies which are on the card, keeping the amount of water to a minimum, again with Milled Lavender.
Stamped the same Butterflies onto Parchment with White EP and again used Distress Ink from the pad. 2 for each butterfly I plain for the underneath and one coloured on the top.
Die cut a sentiment from my stash, 1 dark blue and 2 in white and layered the with the dark one to be on the bottom.
Stuck the frame on ( flat or on pads)and then arranged the Parchment Butterflies and the sentiment taking them onto the border for balance. To finish added some pearls
Here's the link to the Chocolate Baroque shop where you can find some beautiful  Butterfly stamps and a lot more!

Brushos with a Memory Box

Special Wishes card with Brushos and a Memory Box Die

Yellow is not a colour I use too much so for a change, I did!!
Brusho background on watercolour paper and then I cut a black Gerber Daisy flower saving all the "waste" and 3 yellow which I "stacked"  up. The black bits I kept to reform a solid black flower on the bottom to add depth  Made some "curly" bits with slithers of black card and the leaves were from the MB Poinsettia corner.
Mat and layering to finish......

Sweet Poppy Stencil - Holly Wreath

At lastI have finished and boxed 20 of these Christmas Cards

The light has reflected against the linen effect card but enjoyed making these cards on a different shaped base. The Holly stencil is from Sweet Poppy Stencils and I used pearlescent paste with glitter dusted over whilst the paste was still wet.

Mirrored the mat and layering inside to finish the card. The Die is from Lifestyle one of the frame range.............here's the link for the stencil

A stamp from the Rose Tree Set for a quick make. Used Tonic dies ( square scallop) to make the frame and cut the mat from a free paper downloaded from  the Chocolate Baroque site and the first layer from a cream card sprayed with Crafters Companion Gold Spray ( a good way to make your own glitter card!!)
Stamped the image with Memento ink as I wanted to use my Spectrum Noir Pencils and Pens to colour.

Memory Box Die and Distress Inks
I embossed the background before distressing. Went through a circle mask with a white pen.
I die cut a flower  in black for the base layer and the built up 4 white ones on top for depth.
based on a design I saw on Bibiana's Blog.....   bibiana.blospot.com

I don't have the pine needles die so I had a little think and decided to try some wispy bits cut in black on the guillotine

Christmas Octagonal

Octagonal card

It's been a busy week so far - baking and Workshop prep but I have managed one card!
...Here is an Octagonal  card I made using a combination of Cardio and Hobbycraft Stamps. Formed the wreath first and then built up my scene. Sometimes your stamp packaging includes an acetate with the  designs on it and I use this sheet to see where am image can sit before I stamp.
Distress Inks for the sun and hillockshading. Stickles for the snow effect and Liquid Pearls ( Cosmic Shimmer an alternative) for berries.

Designs by Ryn November Card

Gerbera with Alchohol Pens and Acetate

I made this card using a technique that I had seen on You Tube with Sheena Douglass. I backed with a gold card which alters the effect. Mirri card behind looks good too. After a couple of tries in the bin with other stamps, this one of a Gerbera from Ryn did the job giving a good outline to the image when the ink is removed. Topped the acetate with three flowers which I coloured and decoupaged. Added Stickles and Glossy accents to the flowers to finish
