Mask, Gilding Wax and Candi flower

Today's Card

A few techniques on this card. For starters I used a Splodgaway mask to create the background  on Linen effect card from Papermill. Easy
Next I used several shades of gilding wax on the doily. Easy
I made the flower from Candi. Cut a small circle of plain paper as a base and put a circle of Cosmic Shimmer round the outside edge but keeping on the paper
. Each piece of Candi is pinched in half with pointed tweezers  and working from the outside in, assemble the  flower. Best to start each round with an odd number. eg. 7.5.3.1 pieces. More Candi in each round gives a bigger flower. A brad, pearl gem or a blob of Liquid Pearls to finish the centre.
If anyone is interested I can post a  "how to" in photographic stages. It's a lot easier than it sounds ( or I wouldn't be doing them!!)

    1. Hi - and thanks for leaving a comment.I just had a pot of pastel Candi and then tinted the edges with Perfect Pearls - applied with a paint brush. I am getting some more from EBay - there are loads of different designs. I am going to try using Cosmic Shimmers when my next order arrives and generally have a play!!
