Eileens Saturday Workshop

Cards from Saturday's Workshop

Hello again. Thought I would share two of todays pieces from Eileens Workshop
This first card is stamped and coloured with crayons. I  varied a little by adding some Liquid Pearls and as the butterfly was a little dark, decided to stamp with Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Brick on card offcuts to cut and decoupage. Then blended crayoning. Clear embossed the smaller butterflies to add a little dimension. Matt and layered with black card to highlight.

The second card is based on a 6" square card, but obviously you can adjust the size to your choice. First I "flicked" artists mask onto the blank card and left to dry for an hour or so.The top square was distressed to create the background. Rubbed the dried mask off which leaves the white bits and bobs on the card (very technical I know!!)
Stamped the poppy and butterfly onto the card using Versafine. Also stamped the poppy onto card offcuts and decoupaged after colouring. Used DI's on my SplodgeMat and blended shades of red. Assembled and them used glossy accents to finish. Used a sentiment on the next layer and edged with Frayed Burlap. Chose a green to matt and layer the card to finish. Glossy accents really add a super finish....
