Love the layering technique on this card using Designs by Ryn Stencil -  Maidenhair Fern Stencil using Gesso( not much fern showing but it is there! Then Japanese Anemone as the main flower.
Archival Ink in Blue Violet through flower and then Black Versafine on top layer. Added "filling" with lovely small stamps from Crealies

A lovely set of stamps to work with. Maker's name escapes me for now but will pop back and share with when I remember!   ( It's Unity Stamps)

Big and Juicy Ink Pads are great to get shading without much effort.

A nice bit of matt and layering to finish and that's it!

 

 

                       

 

 

 

                   

Workshop results using Metallic Gilding polishes

Didn't they do well!

Creative Expressions Metallic Gilding Polishes are so versatile. Also some of these cards were made by Ladies who are quite new to crafting.  They took their other pieces as "homework" to make into their own cards.
 Whether Bold or more subtle the shine adds dimension
Love the latest colours.  Apricot, Dark Cherry, Mint - all sound good enough to eat! ( of course you can't!)

Just a few samples from the Craft Room Workshop. They all used Metallic Gilding Polishes in different ways.

Spellbinders Bauble Scene

 

 

 

 

 

I like scenes created through an aperture and thought I would give this die an outing.

 

An assortment of stamps used to create the scene, including Stampscapes, Hobby Art, and VLVS. I embellished with Holly Sprays from Creative Expressions, a computer generated sentiment and a bow. Embossed a square frame on the card blank for added interest.

The Craft Room

Sally and I had a busy Workshop today. We each had 2 sessions with a different project in each session.

Our lovely "Students" got their heads down and each went home with their finished art work.

Stampscapes Pine Trees and Creative Expressions Holly Spray and Poinsettia Dies. Memory Box Tree Die for the oval aperture.

Aperture cut with large Bauble Die from Spellbinders.Tops of Pine Trees from Stampscapes and the Doe Stamp. Another Stampscapes Stamp -  Tall Grass for bottom highlighted with red metallic pen for "berries". Computer sentiment and Holly Spray Die from Creative Expressions. Scored frame round.for finishing

At last a time to finished my tags from Eileen's Workshop last Saturday. We made four tags for the covers of our book. We are having a "technique" tag every month as part of the Workshop to build up an aide memoire! I for one will glad to have a reference point to hand and the tag book will be so easy to carry around.

First selection of cards

 First batch of cards from a recent Workshop. I am a lover of CAS cards and using embossing folders add a great focus point. Loved all the results all similar but different in their own way. Two more posts to come!
