Here is the updated canvas with the new colour Moths. I think they blend in better with the overall design. Have left the original on - what do you think?

 

I used a canvas board which I primed with Gesso and left to dry. Used Wendy Vecchi modelling
paste to put through stencils after adding colour
 

 

I stamped a Moth onto the canvas and also some to cut out. Should have used a darker EP to make the Moths outline show up ..... think I stamp out another   couple.Flicked a little red ink and added micro beads for a bit more texture..

Pasted onto acetate using translucent paste and then glittered over the top .

 

Blue background paper with butterflies. Found a set of Baby stamps which I stamped randomly. Added the 2 sentiments. Gems to finish ( yes - have just seen one has gone AWOL!)

Hibiscus Canvas with my new Stamps from Design by Ryn

Today I share a canvas which I have just completed using the Fab - u - lous new Hibiscus stamps from Designs by Ryn   designsbyryn.com

I used a serviette with a pretty design on it, separating into a single ply sheet. Gesso on the canvas and then carefully laid the sheet over it teasing into place with a paintbrush and more Gesso.

Stamped and heat embossed Hibiscus stamp with WOW Platinum EP.

Coloured with Aqua Spectrum Pens and then cut - (yes a labour of love!!) but worth every snip!

 

Mounted into place and that is it.....thanks for having a look...

My Workshop Canvas at last!

 

 

Only one flower missing ....thought I would post my Workshop Canvas

 

Have got round to completing my canvas from Karen's Workshop at J&C Creation's last Friday..

There is a flower missing as I thought it was air dried clay and on going to paint it the following day it was still droopy so had to bake it off!

Greens, gold and lilacs colour theme using a various techniques to give texture and dimension

Sweet Poppy Stencils

 

 

One of the beautiful stencils from the latest release from Sweet Poppy Stencils....

 

 

Used pearlescent paste and sprinkled green embossing powder over the leaves whilst wet. Left to dry and then painted flower with a Wink of Stella Pen.  Then heated the embossing powder. I did it this way to avoid bubbling. Heating the paste  gives a lovely effect ( but not on this piece this time!)
Use a decorative die to layer up to finish.

Have a few half started cards and projects where I lost the way so have decided to look at them again...
Layered the Poppies up and glazed them after colouring with Spectrum Pens.
Crystal Sparkles for the highlights and matted onto to black  and a white base

Think this is a stamped image from one of Eileen's Workshops quite a long time ago . Stamped a spare image for homework. It's definitely being handed in late!!

Creative Expression Dies

 

New Dies from Sue Wilson/ Creative Expressions

 

 

Great newly released dies - these are diagonal dies which can easily be extended .The first is 2 strips and the second card is 3 strips. Can be left in the card or cut out as a panel. Pretty edging die included.

 

 

 

A quick post today- a lot of work in the pipe-line. Hope to Blog my next lot of  Sweet Poppy work soon - lot of "work in progress" going on at the moment - thank you for looking.
