Fairy Bells Stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils

Newly released stencils from Sweet Poppy Stencils

A quick card today using this pretty stencil from  http://www.sweet-poppy.co.uk
I used Spectrum Noir Aqua pens to colour - not to fussy about getting right up to the edge to avoid "bleeding".Transparent paste and them micro beads to finish. A Designs by Ryn Bird stamp for added interested and a sentiment from my box.

Sweet Poppy Stencil Tiger

Certainly  a handsome Beast

Stencilled with Black Paste and left to dry and also stencilled the Grass Border with Green Glitter Paste onto acetate. When the grass was dry I went over again to give the look of thicker grass.           Back to the Tiger..... and when dry I did a colour wash with the new Spectrum Noir Aqua pens to form the sky and also colour the Tiger. I used the S/Noir  Alcohol on the acetate to colour in the gaps.   That's it apart from cutting the frame and mounting up

I'm still stencilling!

Guess what - another card using a Sweet Poppy Stencil - love the new releases
I was really pleased with the effect I achieved by stencilling on acetate. Used glitter medium. Die cut an aperture in the top mat . I wanted to keep all the stem so cut round the base of it from the acetate so it would sit onto the card as shown. Made an inked background and then just layered everything up. Job done.

Another make from the newly released Sweet Poppy Stencils

I used Core'dinations card stock sanded off lightly. Used the Dotty Flowers Stencil with white glossy paste and then assorted colour glitters for the flowers and stems. Penned faux blanket stitch round the edge of  the top mat and then added layers to compliment the glitter colours. Sentiment was stencilled from part of the Birthday stencil

Sweet Poppy Stencils .....new release

Another of the "soon to be available" Stencils from Sweet Poppy Stencils

This is the TREE of HOPE and I have used copper Glitter Paste and Stickles to add a little detail on the ends of some of the branches. The background is a blend of 3 Distress inks. Used a Spellbinders die for the base and finally a grey pen to add shadowing at the base of the tree so it doesn't look like it's floating in mid-air!

Here's the link for the Stencils - keep an eye out - the New Release of some beautiful stencils will be available soon!

Anything goes in the Lavinia Challenge #1

My Lavinia Challenge #1 Card

Zen Grass stamped as background  with Archival Brilliance White. Used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans a bit mixed up to get different shading on the Thistle stamping. Stamping looked like the Thistles were actually behind the grass - stamping this way round with the Archival made it looked more subtle I think
here's the link for the grass even though it says leaves!

I am entering my card into the1st Lavinia Challenge of the year..

Free Flower and leaf Die

An aperture card with die cut flowers.

As my brain is not doing well at the moment I seem to be very slow kick-starting myself in 2015 - thought I would use these 2 little free flowers and a leaf die for my Blog  card today.

Cut the aperture and also embossed only 2 die sizes bigger to create a decorative frame.
Used a foiled paper to cut and assemble flowers. Also stamped and heat embossed 3 Chocolate Baroque Butterflies on Parchment. Cut a tag for the sentiment.
That's pretty much it..........have a good day whatever you're up to
