Oak House Studio Stamps

Butterfly card

My card is on the Citrus Inks theme and uses Distress Inks and the Charming butterfly, sakura  and triple butterfly set from Oak House Studio. I masked off the centre panel and shaded dried marigold and squeezed lemonade. I used linen effect card.
Stamped the butterflies onto the card and also off to decoupage. On the  cut out butterflies I used heat white embossing powder and colour over with the same Distress Inks.

Mother's Day card

A quick floral card

A quick card using embossing powder and distress inks to colour. Used a Hougie Board to outline white card a nd embellished by adding twine and a coloured paper clay butterfly made with Martha Stewart clay and mould. Topped with a sentiment. Stamp from my stash but would work well with any "posy" style floral stamp

Sweet Poppy Stencil - flying free

Hello - my make today uses a beautiful Sweet Poppy Stencil

I made a Distressed Ink background and stencilled 3 butterflies onto the card using Imagination Crafts glitter paste. I stencilled the window onto acetate with pearlescent paste. Left to dry. I turned the acetate over and used the " back " as the front. Placed the dies in place and used the glitter paste just for the butterflies. I painted Stazon onto the leaves and "Berries". Left to dry overnight to avoid smudging and then used clear silicone round the edges to give lift and dimension. Cut a frame from white linen card to finish.

Stamp by Designs by Ryn

My card today is using stamping and die cutting

I used an aperture card which I distressed. The Ornate leaves by Designs by Ryn were both stamped and decoupaged. Die cut the flowers from the Sunkissed Range using patterned paper which I  coloured using inks and Silies from Imagination Crafts. A few liquid pearls and gilding wax to finish.

Sweet Poppy Stencilling Workshop #2

Sorry to the Ladies' whose card is not shown - a technical blitch!
Another fun afternoon and a lot of concentration, resulting in some great cards. None of these ladies had stencilled before, although many had paste and stencils at home!
They all used a Sweet Poppy Stencil and chose white Glossy or Pearlescent Paste. Many chose to dust with mica powders for their colour, so will dust the last of the residue off tomorrow when properly dry. Here are the efforts of those whose photo is ok.

What a lovely selection again!

Faux Leather Notebook cover

Faux Leather Notebook Cover

My take on the Faux Leather Technique as shown on Create and Craft recently by Sheena Douglass

I used Sheenas A4 embossing folder with the leaf design - A little bit Oriental

The second cover is with an M Bossibilites folder with the Shell Design. There is a tutorial on You tube by Sheena for the "How to". I used Distress Inks and a little white gold gilding wax. Had some shoe protector so gave that a spray on the shell cover to see the result. Didn't affect the finish but might try some Spray and Shine by Crafter's Companion.    sheenadouglass.com

The Results of Workshop One with Sweet Poppy Stencils!

What a lovely time I had with the lovely Ladies at my Workshop! We used Sweet Poppy Stencils today. Most of the Ladies had not done any paste stencilling. I think they all did really well and all managed to finish their card. The room was lovely and hot - just right for the paste to dry. Thanks Julie for giving me a hand!!
Here are the first batch. Second Workshop on Friday. Phew!!
