Flower Tree Stencil

Sweet Poppy Stencil:- THE FLOWER TREE

I made a circle card today using a Spellbinders circle die, cutting 2 circles of Centura Pearl for the base and a smaller one for the stencil work. Distressed the edges using scattered straw before placing the stencil. Used an assortment of pens to colour through each flower and the trunk. Used pearlescent paste through the stencil. Left to dry before assembling. The back of the card circle needs a crease across about half an inch  down to create the fold and I cut about 1/4" strip from the bottom of the same piece to stop the card from rolling. Stamped 3 butterflies coloured, cut and stuck.

Designs by Ryn and Heartfelt Creations Stamps today

Kraft Card based card

I used a Memory Box mask for the card border. Used the Leaf Set from Designs by Ryn to heat emboss the teal leaves on brown pearlescent card. Masked a piece of card with Distress Inks and then framed with a Spellbinders rectangle. Stamped the leaves onto the card and also decoupaged. Same again for the Flower Stamp. Painted the leaves and butterfly with a Perfect Pearls wash to add a lustre. Rounded the corners of the card to finish.

The base circles paper was a freebie in a magazine. I over-stamped with the Circles Stamp by Designs by Ryn and also the card base border. Some of the circles I stamped and cut out for interest. Stamped the Flowers from the Sunkissed Range by Heartfelt Creations with white EP and used Distress Inks to colour before cutting out. Heartfelt Creation Stamps

Heartfelt Stamps from the Sunkissed Range

Side Pocket card

6" x 6" card base. Folded the front of the card back on itself and then the flap back in on itself to form a pocket..
Stamp the background stamp onto a piece of card - twice to form a larger piece. Painted the leaves and flowers with artist's mask and when dry used Distressed Inks over the masking - squeezed lemonade, scattered straw and a dash of peeled paint. When dry, rubbed the artist's mask off to reveal the white.
Cut the background card to fit the inside of the card and a piece to line the pocket and a narrow piece to the right of the white strip.  Then use  narrow red line tape to stick the edges of the pocket down.

Stamped the flowers off the card and distressed to add colour and cut out.  I also stuck single flowers on the backs of the flowers which overhang the edges. Stamped a sentiment on a die cut shape to form the tag to slip in the pocket.

My attempt of Thumping!

Hi All - well after a first failure I thought I would have another go at Thumping! I saw an amazing butterfly which Eileen ( eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.com ) had on her blog. I have put the link to the
STAMP CAMP BLOG where there is a Tutorial.
The butterflies and flourishes use Distress ink. The tutorial is well worth a look. A
This card has a frame from a Sweet Poppy Stencil in green Glitter paste

On this card I have used the same technique on both the butterfly and the corner flourishes
