Sweet Poppy Stencil - Peacock

PEACOCK  STENCIL

Used linen card from Paper Mill Direct to add texture to the background. Although it shows black it was a luscious Forest Green Dimensions paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils which I put through the Peacock Stencil. it dries to a lovely dark green - almost black. Coloured the peacock eyes silver  and added a jewel. Simple matt and layering to finish.
here are the links to the paste and stencil:

My Mask!

Fish and Flowers!

Here are the 2 cards I started to make yesterday.
I was feeling chuffed as I made the background mask myself that's all.... Felt it went well with themes of the cards, as in the flowers it looks like grasses and in the fishy a bit like sea weed
Shame though, that as I used Sparkle Medium, the photos are not showing them to the best but the results are OK. Will try again with Sweet Poppy Stencil Paste.
The flowers are die cut from the Sunkissed Range by Heartfelt Creations and the lovely Butterfly Fish by Ryn @ Designs by Ryn.

Hope you will be able to leave a comment!

Sparkle medium background with mask

a sneak peak of the 2 projects I hope to complete today! Will add the full pictures later.........hope you will like the finished cards...................will then add why I am a little chuffed...

Tags today using Oak House Studio products

Handy tags - useful for a quick project .....
I love the Ink Chemistry pads and inks from Oak House Studio. The stamps I used are Mountain Ash, Dog Rose Corner and Sentiments. Inks include Daffodil, Wine, Midnight and powder blue.     The circles on the background are really quick to do using the round Ranger stamp foams - ink the foam using Chemistry Ink pads and dab onto card turning as you press, keeping handle upright
Ribbons from my own stash. This is the link for the Dog Rose Corner Stamp

Choclate Baroque Stamp

I think this makes for a very clean line card............

Stamp the coloured Chocolate Baroque stamp and then cut round the area I wanted left on the card. Slid Tonic layering die under the cut part  and die cut out, to reveal the aperture. Mounted onto  embossed pearly card to back the aperture and make the matt and layering. Would also look good with parchment or acetate I think.

"Flying free" with a Sweet Poppy Stencil

Through the window with this lovely stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils

the photo has made the Paper Mill Direct linen card a bit bold but it's not too bad........is less harsh in the flesh!
Did the background first, keeping the colours quite subtle.
Placed the stencil in position and the coloured through the stencil before running over with white glossy paste.
After drying I added a branch border with a stamp from my stash and mounted onto navy linen card from Paper Mill  Direct and a Centura Pearl base card.
Cosmic pearls for the corners to finish.
