Embossing folder and Oak House Studio Butterfly

 

embossed card base and brayed over lightly with Versamark and put clear embossing powder over. Heated and then put Distress inks over so it inked the parts missed by the embossing. Sentiment dies fee with a magazine and Butterfly stamped and used white heat embossing. Again inked over to add the colour. Cut the butterflies out and mounted. Added a few sprigs from a Martha Stewart punch

Cut a die from Spellbinders and usedthe aperture to ink through in assorted colours. Die cut the beautiful rose from Studio Rose ( from: www.jandccreations.co.uk ) and added Cosmic Pearls to finish with the matt and layering. Yellow card ( special price pack)  from Paper Mill Direct  papermilldirect.com

Sweet Poppy Stencil - Bottle

 

 

 

Used glossy paste with this Bottle Sweet Poppy Stencil. Dusted with gold Perfect Pearls. Matt and layered with gold linen card and embossed one of the layers with a circle folder to add a bit of "effect". Used the Hougie board around the edge of the card base to frame the whole thing and that's it!"

Distress Inks with stamped flower from Lavinia Stamps

 

My card is based on a technique we used at Eileen's workshop recently

I cut the aperture to use as a stencil from a Spellbinders die. Used Distress Inks through and then stamped a Lavinia stamp -Zen leaf . To get a more solid look I coloured the stamp in with a silver effect pen. Matt and layering to finish. A  simple effective technique!

I am loving my Hougie Board!

 

 

A simple criss cross design with the Hougie Board is the foundation for this card. At each "junction" I have made a pearl with Cosmic Pearls. Flourish die from  Rose Studio and simple embellishments from J and C  Creations.

Masking, Stamping and Resist technique

 

 

 

I used a Memory Box mask. Randomly used a Distress ink through for different depths of colour - evergreen bough. Embossed with a leaf E/Folder - passed through twice for a deep emboss. Inked brayer with Versamark ( or similar) and lightly ran over the whole embossed area. Used Clear EP and heated up. Then I used a Distress ink againg to pick up any areas not heat embossed. Fixed a ribbon strip and them stamped and cut butterfly stamps from Oak House Studio. I used a fine glittered card. Punched a few holes in one of the butterflies using a screw drive hole punch. Sentiment from Oak House again stamped with white EP. Distress ink for colour

Floral Card Using oak House Studio Stamp

 

 

I used the Hougie Board to make the panel and used Centura Pearl Card. Added two bands of lace and then decoupaged the flowers after stamping with white EP. Coloured using Distress Inks

I used this lovely stencil with Glitter paste - reflected a bit in the photo. The background I shaded with Pan Pastels and dried off after spraying with hairspray. Sentiment prepared in the same way. Matt and layered before mounting onto a card base.

Lighthouse Stencil

 

For those who knew about the lost stencil on Tuesday - as you can see I found it - tucked in a folded piece of card!!
Stencilled through with white glossy paste and coloured afterwards. Used metallic pencils to add the sea and Pan Pastels for the sky (with clouds!). Matt and layering with Perfect Partner minis now I have mastered them. Edges scored on my Hougie board to add a frame effect.
Spellbinders sentiment cut twice and shadow mounted.
All on a pearl 7" square card base

A quick  Baby card

I cut the letters and other embellishments on the Cricut  cutter ( New Arrival  cartridge)  each with a shadow cut. Mounted up as shown and used a gingham card base.

A stamp from my stash for a message inside stamped in Blue Adirondack.

Resist Technique Card

This card uses  a resist technique and Distress Inks. The background was stamped with EP and heat set. Coloured the background using 2 blues. Dried off thoroughly and then stamped a small image with Versamark and Clear EP to "fill" the gaps. Again heat set.
Stamped solid flower for the topper and then highlighted around it with Distress Ink added a stem to avoid the flower " floating". Added a few sprigs cut with a Martha Stewart punch and added a little colour. Matt and layered to finish.

My tag uses the Zen flower stamp from laviniastamps.com. I used Distress inks to stamp and multi layered to add dimension. Matt sand layered the centre flower for effect and added a little Stickles Glitter glue from Ranger

Quick card using Oak House Studio Stamps again

Used a distress ink background for this card and stamped sakura and charming  and trio butterfly set. Cut the butterflies out and used glitter to add detail. Added twine to finish.
