Pre~Op Blog!

Well I have managed a couple of pieces twixt Scotland and Hospital. Hope you enjoy them.....hopefully I will not be in too long. Got a few things lined up to play with when I come out.I have thought how I can do my leg exercises at the craft table - last time I had a carrier bag to slide my leg on ~ now thanks to Splodgaway I can use the "mat"!!! There is always more than one use isn't there!!!lol

I used PanPastels to create the background for this card and the Tree set and large fir tree from Lavinia Stamps. These were stamped in Versafine ( black).I used a fine Pen Touch pen to create a few snow Hills and used grey Distress Ink to put in shadows in the snow. Autumn Leaves with Designs by Ryn Stamp

Autumn Leaves

Disress Inks on the background and then stamped with Versamark and gold EP. Then glittered a gold line in Ranger Stickles to edge/outline the leaves. Stamped some off the page and used and assortment of fine PenTouch pens, Gelly roll Pens and Distress pens in autumn shades.

Bits and Bobs

Good evening all - no chance to blog for a wee while as I am off to hospital in a few days time and am taking a few days out to " prepare"! Have a few bits in the pipeline  so will get them on as soon as I can.... Enjoy your crafting whatever you choose to make!! x

A joint effort Silver Wedding anniversary Card!

 

OUR Joint CARD

 

 

 

The  card I am showing was a joint effort by Lynne, June Marian and myself for a member of our Tuesday group who was celebrating her 25th Anniversary. Silvery grey and silver foiling on the background card.The ribbon was added when the matt and layering was being assembled. Used Spellbinders Dies for the flowers and foliage which were white.These were arranged onto a decorative die shape ( think it was a Spellbinders too)  and then the hearts were mounted onto pads for dimension to complete the card.

Alcohol Ink Tag

Todays Tag

 

A quick tag today....I cut one tag shape in Card and one in heat resistant acetate. Made the background by daabbing here and there using 3 colours. Dried off. Stamped background words and flowers with white EP and heated. A  brad attached  in each corner to secure the acetate to the card and some organza ribbon to finish. Done!!

Mondays Card ~ Stamp by Designs by Ryn

I used 2 stamps from Designs by Ryn today ~ Leafy Branch and the Pansy Cluster

I used Distress ink to give depth to the background. Stamped the leafy branch in Versafine Black and coloured the leaves with Distress Pens.

I had a fine line Pen Touch in gold to colour in but left white areas to show off the detail of the stamp.

Matt and layering to finish.

Shades of Autumn

Autumn theme Card

I used an assortment of PaperMill Direct Card and Pan Pastel metallic Range for this Autumn Theme Card. Cut an circle aperture in the top layer and built up from greens to the autumn shades. Used a Woodware leaf stamp for the leaves and acorns. Added Crystal lacquer for the shine.

Designs by Ryn - Hummingbird and Pansies

 

Thursdays card ~ Hummingbird Stamp

 

I love the detail on this Hummingbird stamp by Ryn.

Used Gelly Roll Pens to colour the pansies ( also by Ryn) and the hummingbird which I decoupaged. Used Distress Inks for the sky and grass.The base Pansies I coloured in gold and decoupaged the coloured ones over. Framed with the leafy branch stamp (Ryns!) ~ a really versatile stamp. I used a metallic pen to colour the leaves this time.

Matted and Layered to finish.

Ribbon Plaiting

 

Something different today...

 

Thought I would have a bash at something different today so tried some ribbon plaiting.Mounted onto background paper and added baubles that  I had heat embossed.  Put the buttons on for something a little different way of embellishing. 



Sweet Poppy Stencils ~ Wildflowers

Sweet Poppy Stencil Card ~ WILDFLOWER

 

 

My card today

 uses one of my favourite Sweet Poppy Wildflower stencil sweet-poppy.com. I used a Hougie Board  hougiecrafts.comto create the panel background.I then used transparent paste through the stencil and dusted pink/purple Perfect Pearls rangerink.com lightly over the wet paste and left the card to dry. When dry I used a Distress ppen to colour over and a white pen to add highlights to the background flowers. A butterfly embellishment finishes.

Sunday with Sweet Poppy Stencils

 

Kept this card to black and white for effect. Stencilled the Dandelions first and them found this pretty butterfly paper so decoupaged with Liquid pearl tails. Mounted with black and silver card  and penned the faux stitching to finish.

Lavinia Stamp - Autumn theme

Good morning all. This card is my Autmun theme card for Lavinia Stamps Challenge Blog.laviniastamps.com

I used the metallics range of PanPastels to create the backfround and them stamped the flowers in an assortment of reds, oranges. The sentiment is from my stash. Used linen effect card as the base. This takes the Pans really well.

Sweet Poppy Stencil

 

Tag using Sweet Poppy Stencil , Lavinia Stamp and Distress Inks

 

 

On  my tag today I  have used Distress inks to create the background and stamped the Wild Flower stamp by Lavinia stamps   laviniastamps.com   with 2nd and 3rd generation stamping.The same design is available as a stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils    sweet-poppy.co.uk   and I used Glossy white paste on its own as I thought that made the flowers stand out. Mounted the tag onto silver card and added some white ribbon to finish.

 

 

 

 



Zentangle Stamps by Lavinia

 Lavinia Stamps have bought out some really fun Zentangle Stamps.......my card for today is made using 2 of them - Zen Rose and Zen leaf #2

 

 

These are beautiful stamps from Lavinia and today I used them on their own, They are great for conbining with your other Lavinia Stamps too. Stamped the images with Versafine ( black ) and then coulred in with Sakura fine pens. The border I freehand drew and then used Water thinned Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough

Sweet Poppy Stencils

 

Cornflower stencil and Lavinia Stamps

 

Good morning all!

This card used the Sweet Poppy stencil "Cornflower".I used white glossy paste and then painted using Perfect Pearls.

The background was created using Distress inks,Moss,Frayed Burlap,mowed Lawn,Scattered straw a white Distress pen for yhe sea highlights  and others whose name slip me for now!

Used a Lavinia tree Stamp to create the frame

Made a black frame and matted onto green and white PaperMill card.

Zentangle Stamp by Lavinia

 

 

Tuesday is a Zentangling day!

 

What fun the new stamps by Tracey @ laviniastamps.com are!

Kept mainly to black and white with just a hint of pink. Did my own Zentangle around the edge and mounted onto pink and black with the white pink and balck butterfly.
