Spellbinders Dies

Christmas with Spellbinders Dies

Used the new holly wreath and sprig dies from Spellbinders for this Christmas Card today.  The wreath was a little small so I chopped bits here and there  and used a circle Spellbinders die cut as a base to work to. Used PaperMill Direct card  and different colors to build up the dimension. The cute bow is also part of the wreath set.Added pearls, a little glitter and a sentiment to finish.

Sweet Poppy Stencil Wreath Stencil

Wreath Stencil and Martha Stewart Paper Clay

Hello again - todays card is slightly different. Martha Stewart paper clay softened and pressed into the stencil. This a really fun product. Left to dry overnight and then I thought - can I die cut it? When dry it is very squashy and "bounces back even if you pressed hard. Used a scallop die by Spellbinders and whoopee it came out all right!
Used Distress pens and Liquid pearls to colour in.
Found this fibre gold mirror card for the background and added a stamped sentiment onto the wreath. To finish I added ribbon and pearls.

The Wild flower is a stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils. I used white glossy paste and then left to dry and coloured with various Distress Pens and Gelly Roll Pens by Sakura. Sweet Poppy Stencils

My cards for today are made using Sweet Poppy Stencils
First card today is the Cornflower Stencil with a Hobby Art Sentiment. Use white glossy paste and then Perfect Pearls Powder as a paint. Added a few Stickles coming from the flowers

Second card ( sorry -photographic studio failed!)  used a Cosmic Shimmer EP with a gold glitter thrown on for good luck ( that's the bit that look white!!) Made a paper ribbon using the same EP. Mounted onto a wavy backing powder. Looks so much better in the flesh so to speak!

Two stencils here with Gold Paste from SPS.Took a chance and swiped them together. Not too sure about the White gold gilding wax at the edges so may try and thnk of what else I could do.

Few more Stencil pieces to be added in the next couple of days hopefully. -  the Designer hat Worked!
thanks for looking today and hope you enjoy these cards. Take a peak too at the Sweet Poppy website for the lovely stencils.

Papermill Direct design team memberhttp://papermilldirect.co.uk/community/new-design-team-member-challenge-autumn-theme

Autumn Theme Card/Papermill Direct Autumn Card Challenge

 This is my card for today using a Woodware Autumn Set I have. My idea was to start off with a green layer then build up layers to Autumnal colours and embellishments. I used PaperMill Direct pearlised card in green and cream. The other layers used embossed pearlised card and the lovely linen effect card. I cut a circle aperture in the top layer. I used PanPastels to create the colour scheme including the new metallic Pans, Green, Yellow, Red and Black. Stamped  the leaves and acorns both on and off the card using cocoa brown Memento Ink. The sentiment was stamped using Versamark and EP's. Used smooth and linen card for the leaves to add interest.
3D crystal lacquer added shine to the acorns and the leaves were embossed using clear EP

I'm pleased with  the result. What do you think. I am going to enter the PM Autumn Challenge for the DT " space"!

Sunday Cards ~ Distress Inks, Embossing Folder and Chocolate Baroque Stamps

Chocolate Baroque Poppy Stamp

My first card today is base on a card we made at Eileens Workshop ( eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.com).
Created a background by using Artist Mask in spots and splats ( dries to a rubber ) left to dry and then used Distress Inks to create the back ground.A quick blast with a heat gun to dry and then use finger to rub the rubber off mask to reveal the white base. Stamped image and coloured with Distress Pens. Stamped Sentiment onto next laer and added black lines to frame. Glued image onto this piece of card and then onto next layer and then card.
*****************
Second is based on a Crafts~Too Flowers Embossing folder

Used a textured piece of card and ran folder through Grand Calibur a couple of times to get a deep emboss.Tore edges for a distressed look and inked. Used Distress inks over card first and then used gilding waxes to build up definition. Cut out 3 butterflies from ~Kaisercraft stamps and mounted. A few jewel embellishments and matt and layering to finish.
Have a good week

The second card has been made by making a shaped base. Distress Inks on the background
and 3 Spellbinders shapes cut and stamped the Chocolate Baroque Stamp on 2. Coloured the one for the front using Distress Pens and a butterfly added after stamping the corner stamp from the set. Added a bit of Stickles for bling.Mounted onto the front and stuck the second stamped shape back to back to match up with front one and make it look neater. I did not colour this one though.The card has a "pocket"  behind and  the third  shape was Distressed  and a greeting stampedd onto it and ribbon added. Think I'll take a photo of the inside to make it clearer!

Spellbinders Card and Distress Tag today

Hello to you all .Hope that you are having a good start to your week.
Had a complete block over the weekend with loads going around in my head ~ and that's where it stopped. So did the garden instead!!
Got going again today and hope you like these 2 projects

The first card is from Romantic Rectangles Spellbinders Die.The first layer in black and the top in white which I edged with a grey distress Ink. Die cut the S/Binders Floral border, stamped with Versamark and then used a vintage EP which is black and silver. Mounted onto a white card base - fine lined the edge in black and added a few black pearls

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second is a tag using Woodware grasses stamp. Distressed inked the background and then used Memento Brilliance stamps for the grasses. Dried and then over stamped with Clear fine EP. Used the same method for the border edge which I stamped with part of the main stamp. Sentiment was stamped off the card and lifted with silicone glue. The butterflies were from a Fiskars set I found in my cupboard.
Hope you enjoy these!
