Liquid Pearls

Used Kanban pearl liquid and Ranger Liquid Pearls off the mat and then after drying mounted them onto a Spellbinders framed oval. Added a butterfly and 3 cream flowers and white opaque pearls to the branches.
The back ground this time is kraft  card and then used subtle PanPastels to enhance the back ground
Framed the edge of the oval using pearl trails

Circle Cluster - designsbyryn.com

Cut a tag and stamped using a mix of colours - Distress inks. Also cut some out to decoupage. Added random Ranger Liquid pearls to add highlights to some of the circles. Distressd the edges altering the depth of shading. The 3 butterflies I decorated using Ranger perfect pearls. To finish I added ribbons to compliment the tag.

Shell Beauty Spellbinders Embossing

This lovely embossing folder gives a really deep emboss. Did this one on white linen card and then used Ranger liquid pearls blending various colours .Took an age but so pleased with it especially when it was shown on Create and Craft -  one of the Spellbinders: programmes this morning!
Only matted onto black at the moment but will build to make a picture rather than a card.
I want try this in this basic foil and mirri card too.

Perfect Pearls on my Crafting mat.....

Created this design on my crafting mat...
Blended PanPastels onto the background and then planned my design onto the crafting mat. Left to dry before mounting onto the card. Cut a butterfly from black and silver foiled card using the Grand Calibur. Piped the pearl embellishments direct on the card. When dry I matted and layered to finish. Don't worry if you have any casualties when transferring to the card - you can usually "patch" up direct  the card!

Had great fun making this card today!

Very lightly used Green PanPastels on White linen card to create the background. Used a leaf from  designsbyryn.com. to give the effect of seaweed and highlighted some of the leaves in silver opal Ranger pearls - timholtz.com .The turtle was a design from designsbyryn.com.  the 2 part turtle images off the page were decorated using various blends of Perfect Pearls by timholtz.com  and the turtle in the centre was stamped decorated as the part turtles and then cut out and decoupaged. Some of the markings were done in the Chocolate pearls by kanbancrafts.com. Then matt and layered to finish.

Lavinia Stamps and PanPastels

I prepared the background first using 2 shades of PanPastels and then used Lavinia stamps for the images. The solid part of the Fairies was stamped onto plain paper, cut out and decoupaged onto the card. I think I will add a little glitter onto the fairy wings to lift the images a little

My first Blog card -PanPastels and Ranger Liquid Pearls

Card using PanPastels and Ranger Liquid Pearls
Hello and welcome to my Blog!
My first card to show you...........
I used PanPastels to create the background. I love white linen card. The pearls were used on a crafting mat to create my design. The stems and small leaves on them were straight from the bottle. The  flowers and leaves were a bit more involved using the tip of the bottle to move the liquid around the mat to create the desired effect. The more you "pull" the liquid the finer it is. By using a non-stick crafting mat you can correct mistakes without ruining your card! I am trying some other effects using the same method - to follow!

Leave overnight to dry
I use photo glue to affix my design onto the card. Put a small blob onto your mat. A palette knife and fine tweezers are helpful at this stage. Gently tease the pearls from the mat ready to stick on.
I use a cotton bud to draw a fine line of glue  - try to image the shape in glue as in the pearls. Place on the prepared card. You will have some time to tweak using your tweezers.
